Using the same, lightweight alloy frame to it's little sibling, the Edge, this model also has the same 18 speed Shimano gears, EZ-Fire Plus shifters but is treated to suspension forks up front to help soften the blows out on the trails. Still offering great value, but also the spec to handle more rough and tumble.

 The Claud Butler Alpina 1.0 is our introductory model to the all-new Alpina range – designed to help you cover anything from the many miles of canal towpath right through to the thrill of off-road trail riding.

Using Shimano’s latest CUES series drivetrain components, the 2x9 drivetrain offers all the gears you could need with a 22/36t chainset and 11-36t cassette. We have also stayed with Shimano for the brakes, using their ever-reliable Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes that offer consistent and reliable stopping power.

Frame sizes Medium, Large and Extra Large

 Our latest Claud Butler MTB range makes use of 1x10 drivetrain, and that’s exactly where we started with the Alpina 2.0. Using Shimano’s latest CUES series drivetrain components, the wide range 11-48t cassette makes lightwork of gruelling climbs, while the narrow/wide 32t chainset keeps the chain in place over rough terrain. We have also stayed with Shimano for the brakes, using their ever-reliable Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes that offer consistent and reliable stopping power.
